Settled Status:
This application for individuals who have been in the UK for more than five years
The application is submitted through the Home Office’s web application. You can apply for Settled status for the child as parents and if the Home Office requires further information and documents, they can contact you.
If you wish to become British Citizen you can apply for Naturalisation once you have obtained Settled status, upon meeting all the requirements for Naturalisation.
Requirements:
The requirements for this visa are as follows:
1) Valid Passport or Identity Card of the applicant to confirm your EU nationality
2) Proof of residence in the UK if you are already in the UK
3) National Insurance number
4) Relationship evidence if applying as a Family member of an EU/EEA National.
EAA Family Permit:
The EEA National must be exercising their Treaty Rights if they have been in the UK for 3 months or more. They must be a qualified person being one of the below list:
– Worker
– Self Employed
– Student
– Self Sufficient with savings
– Job seeker
You can sponsor any of the following relatives:
A Family Member:
– Spouse
– Civil Partner
– Child
– Parent
– Grandparent
– Grandchild
An Extended Family Member:
– Unmarried Partner
– Fiancé
– Brother or sister
– Cousin
– Aunt or Uncle
– Brother or Sister-in-Law
The EEA Family permit is valid for 6 months. Before the EEA Family Permit expires, you will need to apply for an EEA Residence Card to secure your stay in the UK for 5 years. Following this you can apply for Pre-Settled Status.
Requirements:
The requirements for this visa are as follows:
– Your relationship with the EEA National Family Member
– That you are dependent on your EEA National Family member either financially or for care
– Your EEA National Family Member is a qualified person i.e., exercising their EEA Treaty Rights
– That your EEA National Family Member can afford to house you and maintain you in the UK.
