2) Applications to extend or remain in the UK as a student
3) Applications to move from one college or university to another
4) Applications from students where their previous college has closed
If you wish to study in the United Kingdom, you must be able to show that you have been accepted on a course of study at an institution that:
1) Is on the Tier 4 register of sponsors
2) Has issued you with a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies) Number
3) You have enough maintenance funds to fulfil the UKBA requirements
If you wish to stay in the UK, you can apply to extend your stay as a student. This is called obtaining leave to remain. You will need to show the same as above.
Tier 4 Child Student Visa:
The Tier 4 (Child) route is designed for children who intend to be educated at independent fee-paying schools (also known as private schools), in the UK.
The minimum age a child will need to be in order to be eligible for the visa is four years old, and the oldest would be 17 years old. After that, applicants will need to apply under the adult route.
Tier 4 (Child) visa holders cannot study at publicly funded state schools.
In order for the visa to be successful, applicants must be able to score 40 points. Applicants will get 30 points obtaining a CAS (Certificate of Acceptance to Study) and 10 points to demonstrate sufficient maintenance.
